E-scripts for Anaesthetists

As an Anaesthetist, you probably know that writing scripts for patients, after you’ve left the hospital can be a challenge.

You might need to ask the patient to visit their GP, or you may have to write one out for them and arrange to get it to them. Depending on the urgency, this could even involve finding out their local pharmacy, contacting the pharmacist and faxing it – as well as having to mail the original script in. It’s a lot of work and hassle for one script!

This is where E-scripts, the modern way to prescribe medications, can be useful.

At Anaesthetic Group, our sole aim is to help you with your efficiency and automation. After we were asked if we knew what others used for E-scripts, we did some research and here’s what we discovered.

Which E-script service?

One provider, several of our members use is ScriptPad https://www.scriptpad.health/

Please note: ScriptPad is an external service. This blog post is not an endorsement or recommendation of ScriptPad. We do not receive any commissions or payment for mentioning ScriptPad either.

With an E-script service you can create and send ePrescriptions to your patients securely and quickly via SMS or email – from anywhere, at any time, on any device. Eliminating the need to write prescriptions manually (and faxing + posting), reducing practice costs, increasing efficiency, and also improving accuracy.

It’s completely up to you which provider you use. We only mention ScriptPad because it is the most common one we’ve heard used by our members. Also on our last check, their ease of setup, simplicity, and even their fees seemed to us better than many others.
