Provide Extra Pages / FAQ / Advice for Patients
As we all know, an operation can be a daunting experience for patients. In the days leading up to the procedure, it’s likely their minds will be pre-occupied. As a result, patients will invariably forget some elements of what you tell them. They may well even overlook flyers you give them, or emails you send them.
How can I make it more convenient for patients?
We make it simpler for our Premium Plan members to get important information to their patients. We do so by enabling them to upload extra, downloadable, documents, onto their profile page.
These can include, for example, FAQs or post-op advice sheets, and other useful documents. This way, patients can access the information at a time that suits them.
How do I upload documents?
We’ll handle this for you.
All you need to do is email us a copy of the document(s) you’d like as downloadable items on your profile. You can send these to us in PDF format, or even as MS Word files. Attach them to an email, and we’ll do the rest.
What if I need to make amendments to my documents?
If you need to make changes to files you’ve already sent us, that’s fine too. You can update your files with us at any time.
Can I add a video?
Absolutely. Videos are a great addition to your profile and can be very helpful indeed for your patients.
All you need to do, is upload your video onto your YouTube or Vimeo account, and then send us the embed code so we can add the video to your profile. It will usually start and end with <iframe ……. iframe>.
Alternatively, if you just send us a link to your video, we can do the rest.
I’m on a Standard Plan, how can I upload a file to my profile?
Because we arrange and maintain the hosting for the files, our extra file service is only available to Premium Plan members. If you’re happy to arrange the hosting yourself, we can upload links to your profile section. All you need to do, in this case, is upload your file to a folder within your Dropbox account (Google Drive, OneDrive or other file sharing platform). Then you’ll need to create a public link to the file and send that to us.
If you haven’t used Dropbox before click here to receive free Dropbox space. Let us know that you’d like this link to appear on your profile page, and we’ll put it on there for you. With this method, you’ll need to ensure the files are not amended, or moved. If they are, your links will stop working.
