About Dr Iskander
As an Anaesthetist, Dr Michael Iskander is a medical specialist who helps you through your operation. Dr Iskander is an Australian doctor who is officially recognised as a consultant in the specialty of anaesthesia. Dr Iskander is also a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

Dr Iskander completed his anaesthesia training at St George, Prince of Wales, Sydney Children’s, Bankstown and Sutherland Hospitals. He went on to complete a fellowship at Liverpool Hospital in cardiothoracic anaesthesia and medical perfusion. Dr Iskander has also completed the Advanced PTEeXAM Examination of Special Competence in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography with the National Board of Echocardiography.

Dr Iskander’s current practice includes anaesthesia for cardiac and thoracic surgery, cardiac catheter lab procedures, orthopaedics, obstetrics, endoscopy, and several general surgical specialities. He has added interests in cardiopulmonary bypass, transoesophageal echocardiography, and quality improvement.

What do you need to do?
Not all anaesthetics are the same. Therefore, to provide you with the safest and most effective anaesthetic, it is essential that Dr Iskander has your full medical and surgical history. In order to assist with this, Dr Iskander requests that all patients complete the Pre-Op Questionnaire.
