About Dr Allchurch
As an Anaesthetist, Dr Lynda Allchurch is a medical specialist who helps you through your operation. Dr Allchurch is an Australian doctor who is officially recognised as a consultant in the specialty of anaesthesia. Dr Allchurch is also a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

Dr Allchurch graduated with 1st Class Honours from the University of Queensland School of Medicine in 2006 after first completing a degree in Biomedical Science at Griffith University, for which she was awarded a University Medal.

After working as a Junior Medical Officer at the Gold Coast Hospital, Dr Allchurch commenced specialty training in Anaesthesia, working in many South-East Queensland and Northern NSW hospitals.

From 2014 to 2022 Dr Allchurch worked as a Specialist Anaesthetist at Gold Coast University, Robina, and Varsity Lakes Public Hospitals. During this time, she gained extensive experience in the areas of Ophthalmic, Head and Neck, Upper Limb, and Endoscopy Anaesthesia. Dr Allchurch served as the Clinical Lead for Ophthalmic Anaesthesia.

For eight years Dr Allchurch served as a Supervisor of Training with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, facilitating and supporting the training of specialist anaesthetists on the Gold Coast.

Dr Allchurch now works full-time in private practice, enjoying the opportunity to provide anaesthetic services in her areas of expertise. She is committed to providing thorough medical assessment and anaesthetic care tailored to the individual needs of her patients, ensuring their comfort and safety. Patients feeling anxious about their surgery and anaesthetic is a particular area of focus for Dr Allchurch. She endeavours to provide reassurance and support to ensure their perioperative journey is as positive an experience as possible.

Dr Allchurch has resided on the Gold Coast since her Intern year. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her two energetic sons.

What do you need to do?
Not all anaesthetics are the same. Therefore, to provide you with the safest and most effective anaesthetic, it is essential that Dr Allchurch has your full medical and surgical history. In order to assist with this, Dr Allchurch requests that all patients complete the Pre-Op Questionnaire.
