Dr Lana Vestarkis is a Senior Specialist Anaesthetist who works in both the public and private sector.

About Dr Vestarkis
Dr Vestarkis has a fellowship in Obstetric anaesthesia and has a special interest in retrieval medicine. She has completed a Masters in Perioperative Medicine and is passionate about continuous education, quality improvement projects and reducing low value healthcare. She has presented to Choosing Wisely Australia, the International "Greening the Healthcare Sector" Conference in Brisbane, 2021 and at the Princess Alexandra 61st Health Care Symposium, 2022 . She is an active Advanced Life Support and Advanced Paediatric Life Support Instructor and has recently facilitated ALS2 workshops for ANZCA, the Australian New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. In addition to these positions, Dr Vestarkis also serves on the ANZCA Queensland Anaesthesia Continuing Education (ACE) committee.

What do you need to do?
Not all anaesthetics are the same. Therefore, to provide you with the safest and most effective anaesthetic, it is essential that Dr Vestarkis has your full medical and surgical history. In order to assist with this, Dr Vestarkis requests that all patients complete the Pre-Op Questionnaire.
