My name is Dr Carl D’Souza and I will be your Anaesthetist.

I will work closely with your surgeon to ensure you receive the best care possible.

I am a Specialist Anaesthetist - a fully qualified medical specialist in the field of Anaesthesia.  I have been specifically trained in this area for over a decade.  And, as your Anaesthetist, my sole responsibility is to ensure your safety and well being.

In order for me to better understand your specific anaesthetic needs and requirements, I would appreciate you taking the time to fill out the pre operative questionnaire.  The information you provide is invaluable in helping me choose the best anaesthetic for you. For your peace of mind I can assure you that the information you provide is completely secure, seen only by me and deleted after your anaesthetic is given.

I will call you prior to your procedure discuss what the anaesthetic will involve and to go over any concerns you might have.

Please be aware that after your anaesthetic if you are going home on the same day as your procedure you will require a responsible adult to accompany you and stay with you. If this is not possible you will be required to stay overnight in the hospital. This is hospital policy.

After your procedure I would appreciate you taking just a few minutes to fill out the Patient Experience Survey. Your answers are completely anonymous and will help me greatly in improving the way I care for patients in the future.
