About Dr Ovenden
As an Anaesthetist, Dr Kellie Ovenden is a medical specialist who helps you through your operation. Dr Ovenden is an Australian doctor who is officially recognised as a consultant in the specialty of anaesthesia. Dr Ovenden is also a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

Dr Ovenden grew up on the Sunshine Coast and attended school locally. After school she moved to Brisbane to attend the University of Queensland and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in anatomy and physiology. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and graduated in 2001. She obtained her anaesthetic specialist qualification after a further 6 years of study.

Dr Ovenden currently works in both the public and private hospital system. Her special interest is breast and endocrine surgery, peri operative medicine and trauma.

When not at work she enjoys travel, reading, hiking and spending time with her family

What do you need to do?
Not all anaesthetics are the same. Therefore, to provide you with the safest and most effective anaesthetic, it is essential that Dr Ovenden has your full medical and surgical history. In order to assist with this, Dr Ovenden requests that all patients complete the Pre-Op Questionnaire.
